Shelob by user1398439

Format: Commander

Commander: Shelob, Child of Ungoliant

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Built around Shelob, Child of Ungoliant, this Golgari deck wins by turning a spider swarm into a deathtouch board that removes creatures and converts them into Food, then closes with Fynn, the Fangbearer poison counters or Rotwidow Pack/Ishkanah drain. Shelob is both an 8/8 finisher and a force multiplier: every other Spider has deathtouch and ward {2}, and her trigger punishes creature deaths. The hidden Shelob is Shelob, Dread Weaver in the 99, which reanimates opposing creatures to feed the same damage-to-death plan. Secondary lines use Spider Spawning and Food synergies. This is a resilient midrange value deck, not a fast combo deck.
