Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact Voltron deck that uses Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man as an engine to bypass high mana costs. In the early game, Tony digs through the top of the library to find critical artifacts while mana rocks establish an accelerated mana curve. On Turn 5, Tony transforms into The Invincible Iron Man, immediately cheating an enormous Equipment into play attached to himself and attacking with flying and haste. Cheating in cards like Aettir and Priwen allows the deck to instantly threaten 40 commander damage against an opponent. If combat damage alone is insufficient to close the game, the deck possesses an infinite combat loop using The Reaver Cleaver and Aggravated Assault, as well as wide go-tall animators like Cyberdrive Awakener. While vulnerable to instant removal when spending 6 mana to transform, a dense suite of defensive Equipment protects Iron Man through sequential eliminations.
