41. Slicer's Red Roll Out by Lamont3

Format: Commander

Commander: Slicer, Hired Muscle // Slicer, High-Speed Antagonist

Bracket: 4

DeckCheck Threat Index: 41

Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive mono-red Voltron list built around Slicer, Hired Muscle. The strategy seeks to deploy Slicer on Turn 2 or Turn 3 for its More Than Meets the Eye cost of {2}{R}. Thanks to double strike and haste, Slicer immediately attacks for 6 commander damage and then passes to each opponent on their respective upkeeps under goad. Because Slicer untaps and attacks on every player's turn, it deals up to 24 damage per table rotation in its base state. The supporting 99 provides inexpensive equipment, pump spells, and combat triggers that increase Slicer's power, allowing it to quickly eliminate all three opponents with lethal commander damage. A secondary threat in Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos provides redundant pass-around pressure if Slicer is disrupted. The deck trades deep interaction for raw combat velocity, aiming to end games before opponents can establish defensive positions.
