Deck overview

Eris, Roar of the Storm is an Izzet spellslinger deck that wants to fill its graveyard with instants and sorceries of diverse mana values, discounting the commander enough to land on turns five or six, then use her second-spell trigger to bury opponents in 4/4 flying Dragon Elemental tokens. The core plan is a critical-mass spell chain: cost reducers like Goblin Electromancer, Haughty Djinn, and Stormcatch Mentor let the deck fire multiple spells per turn, while Talrand, Sky Summoner, Rite of the Dragoncaller, and Storm-Kiln Artist convert spells into creatures and Treasure. Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, and Niv-Mizzet, Parun turn the same chains into direct damage. Big finishers include Thousand-Year Storm, overloaded Mizzix's Mastery, Arcane Bombardment, and Elemental Eruption, with Dragon Tempest making each Dragon entry deal damage. Thassa's Oracle is a backup payoff if a giant storm turn empties the library.
