Deck overview

This deck combines a classic Turbo Fog shell with Bant landfall ramp under Angus Mackenzie. The strategy focuses on accelerating land count through efficient green ramp spells while using symmetrical draw engines like Howling Mine and Dictate of Kruphix to keep hands full. Angus Mackenzie sits in the command zone as an on-demand damage shield, backed by 14 in-deck fog effects including Constant Mists and Spore Frog to neutralize opposing combat steps. After establishing a large mana base and drawing deep, the deck pivots into game-ending landfall threats like Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, and Felidar Retreat. While exceptionally resilient against creature-based combat decks, it is vulnerable to non-combat combo finishes, alternate win conditions, and heavy board sweepers.
