Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact aggro-wheel strategy commanded by Jackdaw. The core game plan focuses on deploying low-cost noncreature artifacts and token generators such as Sai, Master Thopterist, Third Path Iconoclast, and Pinnacle Emissary during the opening turns. On Turn 3, Jackdaw enters the battlefield and attacks on Turn 4 once crewed. Dealing combat damage with Jackdaw lets you discard your remaining hand and draw cards equal to your total artifact count, easily netting 5 to 8 fresh cards every swing. This massive card velocity quickly accesses lethal finishers, including Cyberdrive Awakener to fly in with animated 4/4 artifacts, or burn engines like Psychosis Crawler, Magmakin Artillerist, and Reckless Fireweaver. Additionally, the deck naturally houses an infinite damage backup loop with Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Glint-Horn Buccaneer. While lacking heavy stax or free interaction, the deck overwhelms tables through explosive card draw and wide artifact boards.
