Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Liesa, Shroud of Dusk to orchestrate a lifegain attrition strategy. The primary plan establishes early lifegain enablers like Soul Warden and Authority of the Consuls before deploying Liesa on Turn 5. Once on board, Liesa taxes every spell cast for 2 life while attacking with flying and lifelink. This steady life buffer powers drain engines such as Marauding Blight-Priest, Sanguine Bond, and Indulging Patrician, as well as token generators like Angelic Accord. Liesa's unique commander tax ability bypasses mana escalation by paying life instead, granting exceptional engine recovery. The deck applies steady pressure from Turn 6 through Turn 9, steadily eroding opposing life totals while pulling ahead in life.
