Deck overview

This Sultai deck blends classic Elfball ramp with a lethal graveyard combo engine commanded by Thranduil, the Elvenking. Early turns focus on deploying 1-mana dorks like Llanowar Elves and Elves of Deep Shadow to establish mana velocity. By turn 3, Thranduil enters the battlefield to prepare for the winning sequence. On turn 4, a single tutor such as Buried Alive places Devoted Druid, Marwyn, the Nurturer, and Ezuri, Renegade Leader into the graveyard. Thranduil inherits their abilities, tapping for 5 green mana and untapping with -1/-1 counters to generate infinite mana and infinite team-wide pump triggers. The deck protects this linear plan with premier counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship. If Thranduil is answered or unavailable, the list transitions into traditional Elfball overruns using Craterhoof Behemoth or Staff of Domination loops.
