Aphelia, Viper Whisperer leads a Golgari combat attrition deck built around low-cost deathtouch creatures and coastal combat engines. Early turns establish deathtouch attackers like Fang of Shigeki and Moss Viper, which provide immediate board defense while enabling Aphelia's token generation. Midgame card draw engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Ohran Frostfang capitalize on unblockable or difficult-to-block deathtouch attackers to draw multiple cards each turn.
