Deck overview

This deck is a Phyrexian tribal midrange deck helmed by Atraxa, Grand Unifier that wins through the poison mechanic. Rather than focusing on commander damage or combo finishes, the deck aims to infect every opponent with early toxic creatures such as Skrelv, Defector Mite, Bilious Skulldweller, and Pestilent Syphoner, or direct poison spells like Prologue to Phyresis. Once poison counters are distributed, repeatable proliferate engines including Evolution Sage, Thrummingbird, Contagion Engine, and Staff of Compleation systematically tick opponents up to ten poison counters. Atraxa, Grand Unifier serves as a massive top-end value engine and defensive anchor, refilling the hand across multiple card types when resources run low. Supported by flexible interaction, countermagic, and sweepers like Final Showdown, the deck maintains a steady, inevitable clock that ignores traditional life totals.
