Deck overview

The deck's plan is to cast Kotis, the Fangkeeper, make it connect in combat, and use its trigger to cast cheap cards exiled from an opponent's library. Evasion comes from Aqueous Form, Aether Tunnel, Security Bypass, Distortion Strike, Slip Through Space, and Sword Coast Sailor. Pump effects increase the number of exiled cards and help convert attacks into commander damage. Combat Research, Mask of Riddles, Hunter's Insight, and Toski, Bearer of Secrets provide additional combat-based card flow. Mana is functional through Sol Ring, Signets, Arcane Signet, and land-search effects, but the list lacks tutors and fast protection. Its first meaningful engine attack is normally around Turn 7. The deck can generate strong swings from favorable exiled spells, but those swings are random and do not form a reliable table kill. It is best played as a combat-focused value deck rather than a dedicated combo or control deck.
