Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck is an aggressive Mardu tribal engine built to capitalize on the eminence mechanic. By casting low-mana-value Vampires starting on Turn 1, the deck doubles its board presence at zero additional mana investment. It translates this board velocity into early pressure using tribal lords, +1/+1 counters, and aristocrat drain engines. While primary victory conditions center on massive combat swings powered by Coat of Arms, Akroma's Will, and Edgar Markov, the list integrates an alternate infinite drain combo with Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose (or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) accessible via high-tier black tutors. Robust interaction, efficient sweepers like Olivia's Wrath, and phased-out protection via Teferi's Protection and Clever Concealment allow the deck to maintain tempo and close games out rapidly against uncoordinated tables.
