Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari tokens and aristocrats build that leverages Hazel of the Rootbloom to multiply tokens and generate substantial mana bursts. It establishes an early board of Squirrel, Food, and Treasure tokens, converting them into card draw through engines like Skullclamp, Toski, and Idol of Oblivion. The primary win condition revolves around generating infinite 1/1 Squirrel tokens using Ivy Lane Denizen combined with Scurry Oak, or generating infinite death triggers with Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Pitiless Plunderer. Payoffs such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Nadier's Nightblade, and Mirkwood Bats drain opponents directly, while cards like Beastmaster Ascension provide wide combat pressure. While the deck boasts explosive mana velocity, resilient card flow, and multiple redundant combo lines, its reactive interaction suite is relatively slim, making it primarily a proactive combo-engine deck that races and protects its own synergistic board states.
