Rat Infestation by DubNaFuil

Format: Commander

Commander: Karumonix, the Rat King

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Karumonix, the Rat King heads a mono-black Rat tribal deck built around a wide toxic swarm. Karumonix gives every other Rat toxic 1, so even 1/1 tokens demand an answer, while his ETB digs five cards for missing Rats or combo pieces. Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm and Marrow-Gnawer act as hidden commanders, pumping the tribe and turning spare Rats into token armies. The primary path is a fast poison race backed by sacrifice/life-drain grind; the secondary path is reanimator value with Living Death and Animate Dead. A compact Marrow-Gnawer + Thornbite Staff loop, with Nadier's Nightblade or The Meathook Massacre as the drain outlet, ends the game once assembled.
