Xyri by kaj31

Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck aims to accelerate into Xyris, the Writhing Storm, then force opponents into mass card draw using symmetrical wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Teferi's Puzzle Box. Every forced extra draw yields 1/1 Snake tokens. The deck converts these sudden token swarms into immediate victories via enter-the-battlefield burn from Purphoros, God of the Forge or Impact Tremors, burst combat damage through Beastmaster Ascension or Shared Animosity, or direct sacrifice damage with Goblin Bombardment. A deep package of cheap counterspells and free interaction safeguards Xyris and resolves game-ending draw spells smoothly.
