Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leads an Esper control and group-slug strategy. The deck seeks to tax opponents, lock down combat, and steadily drain the table while maintaining heavy card advantage. Every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater triggers Y'shtola to deal 2 damage to each opponent and gain 2 life, which synergizes directly with her end-step card draw whenever someone loses 4 or more life. Secondary engines like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Kambal, Consul of Allocation, and Talion, the Kindly Lord accelerate the drain. The deck wins by repeatedly cloning Y'shtola, attaching Curiosity effects to draw through the deck on triggers, or applying Phyresis for lethal poison.
