Deck overview

This Izzet deck is led by Rootha, Mastering the Moment, focusing on converting high-mana-value instant and sorcery spells into large, evasive Elemental creature tokens with flying and haste. The early turns establish a stable mana base using mana rocks like Arcane Signet and cost-reducing permanents like The Scarlet Witch. Once Rootha is deployed, the deck leverages spell velocity, rituals like Jeska's Will, and token multipliers like Determined Iteration and Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer to create massive airborne pressure. Finishes are achieved through explosive combat turns powered by Surge to Victory, extra combat phases from World at War, or asymmetric burn from Champion of the Path. The interactive suite includes efficient single-target creature answers and powerful one-sided bounce sweepers like Raise the Palisade, allowing the deck to clear opposing boards while maintaining its own aggressive token presence.
