Deck overview

This Grixis deck operates as a fast reanimator combo deck centered around Worldgorger Dragon and low-cost Aura recursion, supported by an alternative Nazgûl combat package and Sauron, the Dark Lord. Explosive mana rocks like Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, and Dark Ritual accelerate development, allowing the deck to tutor combo pieces directly into the graveyard using Entomb or discard outlets. Once Animate Dead, Dance of the Dead, or Necromancy targets Worldgorger Dragon, the deck generates infinite mana and infinite enter-the-battlefield flickers. Mount Doom translates this loop into infinite direct damage to close the game on the spot. Free interaction like Deflecting Swat and Fierce Guardianship defends the combo from disruption. When combo lines are unavailable, Lord of the Nazgûl, nine copies of Nazgûl, and Sauron's hand-refreshing Ring triggers generate overwhelming combat boards.
