Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius artifact synergy and midrange beatdown strategy commanded by Mendicant Core, Guidelight. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap artifact creatures, cost reducers, and mana rocks in the early turns, establishing combat connections to steadily increase speed counters toward Max Speed. Once Max Speed is unlocked, Mendicant Core copies every artifact spell cast for a single generic mana, doubling board development, token generation, and threat density. In tandem with go-wide token producers like Sai, Master Thopterist and tall scaling beaters like Master of Etherium, Bronze Guardian, and Kappa Cannoneer, the deck builds an overwhelming board presence. Evasive combat damage, ward protection, and asymmetric board sweepers like Organic Extinction allow the deck to systematically break parity and dismantle opposing life totals over sequential combat steps. Although it lacks fast infinite combos, its dense redundancy and resilient artifact recursion enable steady, compounding advantages.
