Plague #8 by user2244440

Format: Commander

Commander: The Locust God

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Locust God deck is a token-tempo build that turns card draw into a swarm of hasty Insect tokens, then converts the wide board into damage through enter-the-battlefield pings and end-step drain. The primary plan is to cast The Locust God, chain draw spells and equipment to flood the battlefield, and finish with Purphoros, Impact Tremors, Throne of the God-Pharaoh, or a big attack. A secondary combo uses Mister Fantastic and Sage of the Falls to loop token creation and draw the library. The commander is the central engine, but several independent win pieces make the deck functional if it is briefly removed. Countermagic and cheap removal keep the board clear.
