Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet big-mana spellslinger strategy commanded by Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound. The game plan utilizes Ashling's transformation ability on Turn 3 to produce two mana restricted to spells with mana value 4 or greater. This acceleration quickly bridges the deck into mid-game mana rocks like Thran Dynamo and Hedron Archive, unlocking 8 to 9 mana by Turn 4 or 5. Once mana is online, the deck casts high-impact spells such as Ovika, Enigma Goliath, Aminatou's Augury, and Shark Typhoon to flood the board with tokens or chain massive free spells. A suite of counterspells and mass bounce effects like Aetherspouts helps maintain parity until combat damage or overloaded spells like Mizzix's Mastery close the game.
