Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu aggro-midrange build centered on Kaalia of the Vast. Its primary game plan accelerates Kaalia onto the battlefield on turn 3 using low-cost mana artifacts, then declares an attack on turn 4 to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck leverages high-impact threats such as Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Aurelia, the Warleader to build an overwhelming aerial board state and close out the game through combat damage. While it boasts formidable battlefield pressure and heavy redundancy among high-end finishers, the deck relies heavily on its commander to bypass mana costs. As a result, it is vulnerable to targeted removal against Kaalia, empty hand states, and board wipes that reset its expensive permanents.
