Deck overview

This Vivi Ornitier deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm and combo deck centered on explosive card advantage and burn attrition. Vivi Ornitier functions as a self-scaling mana generator and board-wide burn engine whenever noncreature spells are cast. By enchanting Vivi with Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout, every noncreature spell deals one damage to each opponent and immediately draws three cards, fueling uninterrupted spell chains. Supported by cost-reducing creatures like Baral, Chief of Compliance and Goblin Electromancer alongside mana accelerators like Storm-Kiln Artist, the deck rapidly cycles through its library. Win conditions range from massive storm burn leveraging Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, and Veyran, Voice of Duality to the compact two-card infinite combo between Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity. A dense suite of one-mana hexproof protection spells and efficient countermagic ensures Vivi survives critical assembly turns, while Underworld Breach provides explosive endgame recursion to close out games decisively.
