Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Aristocrats and attrition strategy led by Savra, Queen of the Golgari. The primary game plan revolves around generating disposable creature tokens, sacrificing them through free outlets, and using Savra's triggered abilities to force opponents into continuous creature sacrifices. By pairing black and green tokens like Pests with Savra, the deck gains life to effortlessly offset the life cost of its edict triggers, locking opposing creature strategies out of the game. The deck transitions from early board suppression on Turn 5 to a decisive win on Turn 8. It closes games through compounded noncombat life drain from cards like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Mirkwood Bats, or by growing an overwhelming creature army with Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest. Robust recursion and card draw from Skullclamp and Morbid Opportunist provide strong engine recovery after disruption, though the deck remains vulnerable to mass exile effects and dedicated graveyard hate.
