Satoru Revived by DrKasa

Format: Commander

Commander: Satoru Umezawa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Satoru Umezawa leads an unblockable ninjutsu deck that cheats large creatures into play. The primary plan uses cheap evasive creatures like Slither Blade, Tormented Soul, Changeling Outcast and Triton Shorestalker to connect, then pays {2}{U}{B} to ninjutsu any creature from hand via Satoru while filtering the top three cards once per turn. Native ninjas such as Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, Fallen Shinobi and Ingenious Infiltrator provide a secondary draw and drain engine. Yuriko acts as the hidden commander, turning each ninja hit into cards and life loss. Wins come from repeated combat damage and Yuriko triggers with payoffs like Archon of Cruelty and Rune-Scarred Demon. Hullbreaker Horror plus Sol Ring can make infinite mana but has no outlet.
