Commander: Sauron, Lord of the Rings

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Grixis graveyard-value deck built around Sauron, Lord of the Rings' cast trigger: amass a large Army, mill five, and reanimate a threat. The primary plan fills the graveyard with big creatures and haste/evasion enablers (Anger, Wonder), then uses Sauron, mass-reanimation spells, or the Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring loop to take over. Scourge of the Throne turns one board into two combat phases, and Kefka, Dancing Mad offers a mid-game burst engine from opponent graveyards. The deck is resilient and interactive, but its mana base is slow and it is vulnerable to graveyard hate if not answered.
