NotUpInHurr's Fangorn, Tree Shepherd by Wilkolak

Format: Commander

Commander: Fangorn, Tree Shepherd

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fangorn, Tree Shepherd turns the combat step into a mana engine: whenever one or more Treefolk attack, he banks twice that much green mana and never lets it empty between steps or phases. The deck is a mono-green Treefolk/ramp strategy that develops mana turns 1-3, lands Fangorn around turn 4-5, and then converts a critical mass of Treefolk, Forests, and token generation into a game-ending attack via Craterhoof Behemoth, Overwhelming Stampede, Genesis Wave, or Last March of the Ents. A secondary infinite line exists in the 99: Scurry Oak plus Ivy Lane Denizen generates unbounded Squirrel tokens. Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and a dense land-tutor package make the mana base unusually consistent, while Timber Protector and Sapling Nursery provide tribal resilience against destroy-based wrath effects.
