Picclini by Tumulonembo

Format: Commander

Commander: Arnyn, Deathbloom Botanist

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats build helmed by Arnyn, Deathbloom Botanist, a 2/2 deathtouch vampire that turns every death of a low-power or low-toughness creature into a 2-life drain. The entire 99 is packed with 1-power creatures, token generators, and one-mana recursion spells, creating a relentless engine that trades small bodies for incremental life loss. The plan is to flood the board with cheap fodder (Shambling Ghast, Nested Shambler, Doomed Dissenter, etc.), then sacrifice them repeatedly using outlets like Bloodthrone Vampire and Witch's Cauldron while the commander piles on damage. There are no infinite combos; the deck grinds its way to victory through attrition, rebound recursion, and the occasional mass-sacrifice turn. The land count is 36 (including utility lands), and the average mana value without lands is a lean 1.86, allowing the deck to operate on very few lands once its engine is online.
