Deck overview

Golbez, Crystal Collector is a Dimir artifact-reanimator value engine. The core loop is simple: flood the battlefield with cheap artifacts to trigger Golbez's surveil, mill big creatures into the graveyard, then use his end-step trigger to return them to hand and drain each opponent for their power once eight or more artifacts are in play. The primary win is incremental - recurring 9/9s and 10/9s like Krang, Utrom Warlord, Artisan of Kozilek, and Triplicate Titan to drain the table while beating down. A secondary lock win pairs Mindslaver with Unwinding Clock to take every turn, and Timesifter offers random extra turns. The deck is a grindy, value-oriented build that wins through attrition rather than a fast combo, with the commander as the indispensable recursion and drain engine.
