Deck overview

This Commander deck is a dedicated Sultai face-down synergy build led by Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer. The strategy centers on leveraging Kadena's cost reduction to cast a free face-down creature every turn while drawing a card on entry. As the game develops, the deck accumulates massive card advantage and board presence through manifest, cloak, and morph engines. It controls the table using morph-based interaction that flips at special-action speed, making its countermagic and removal virtually unreactable. The deck closes games through an oppressive soft/hard lock via Brine Elemental and Vesuvan Shapeshifter, which repeatedly skips opponents' untap steps, or by transforming opposing boards into vanilla 2/2s with Ixidron before overrunning the table with buffed combat attackers. Robust defensive tools like Gift of Doom, Whisperwood Elemental, and Temur Sabertooth keep the engine resilient against removal.
