Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive, high-tempo Grixis Voltron build engineered around Lord of Tresserhorn. By exploiting its massive 10/4 stat line alongside cheap double strike enablers like Temur Battle Rage, Assault Strobe, and Psychotic Fury, the deck turns its commander into a terrifying one-shot threat. The deck mitigates Lord's severe ETB drawback through two distinct angles: generating disposable fodder via cards like Gravecrawler, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Bitterbloom Bearer, or outright stifling the trigger using Torpor Orb, Karn, Argent Defender, and Dress Down. An elite defensive suite—including zero-mana countermagic like Deflecting Swat, Fierce Guardianship, and Not of This World—ensures Lord survives removal during critical swings. Damage multipliers such as Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and Chandra's Ignition allow the deck to threaten all opponents simultaneously, transforming a traditionally narrow Voltron line into an explosive table-wide finisher.
