Deck overview

This deck is an Esper artifact midrange strategy helmed by Urza, Chief Artificer. Its primary plan centers on establishing a dense board of artifact lands, cost-reducing creatures, and mana rocks to deploy Urza ahead of curve on Turn 4. At each end step, Urza generates a Construct token whose power and toughness scale with the total number of artifacts in play, while granting all artifact creatures menace. The deck compounds this board pressure using token doublers such as Anointed Procession, secondary Construct engines like Simulacrum Synthesizer, and evasion augmenters like Kappa Cannoneer. Defensive layers including Bronze Guardian, Padeem, Consul of Innovation, and Darksteel Forge shield the board against spot removal and damage, while free or hyper-efficient interaction like Fierce Guardianship and Dispatch protects its tempo. The deck reliably closes games on Turn 7 through overwhelming, evasive combat damage.
