Deck overview

This is a mono-black Rat tribal swarm deck helmed by Rat King, Verminister, built around the absurd redundancy of 20x Rat Colony. The plan is to flood the board with cheap Rats, pump them with lords like Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm, Karumonix, the Rat King, and Vanquisher's Banner, and close out through either a massive combat swing or table-wide drain from Ayara, First of Locthwain, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Gruesome Fate. The commander is the deck's engine: his "Disappear" trigger mints a free Rat token every end step a permanent left your control, and his activated ability - sacrifice three Rats to return a creature card and every copy of it from the graveyard - is a mass-reanimation tool that restocks the entire Rat Colony swarm after a wipe. Secondary lines include the Marrow-Gnawer + Thornbite Staff death-trigger loop and Bolas's Citadel as a value/alternate win.
