Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Selesnya Voltron aggro deck helmed by Sergeant John Benton. The strategy deploys dense 1-CMC ramp on Turn 1 to land Benton on Turn 2, immediately attacking due to native haste and trample. Dealing combat damage triggers Benton's ability, refilling the hand with extra pump spells and efficient defensive interaction. By Turn 3, the deck chains massive stat multipliers such as Scale Up, Invigorate, and Berserk or double strike enablers like Flaming Fist to deliver a 21-commander-damage one-shot elimination. This massive hit draws dozens of fresh cards, fueling a wall of 1-mana protection spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping, Sylvan Safekeeper, and Grand Abolisher to secure the board. The deck sequentially knocks out the remaining two opponents on Turns 4 and 5. While heavily reliant on its commander, its explosive card velocity and deep shielding package make it exceptionally lethal.
