Deck overview

This Simic deck is a high-synergy counters and blink deck built around partner commanders Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend. Pir accelerates counter generation while tutoring Toothy on entry. Once both commanders are active, drawing cards places doubled +1/+1 counters onto Toothy. The deck exploits this synergy by using cheap instant-speed blink spells like Essence Flux and Ghostly Flicker to reset Toothy: its leaves-the-battlefield trigger draws a massive grip of cards, which then immediately refills the re-entered Toothy with twice as many counters. This massive card velocity quickly finds secondary win conditions, including alternate laboratory wins via Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, or unblockable lethal combat swings with Herald of Secret Streams. The list pairs potent engine recovery with strong built-in card advantage.
