Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Boros reanimator deck helmed by Hofri Ghostforge leans into a graveyard-value engine that turns every nontoken creature's death into an evasive, hasty spirit token with trample. The primary game plan involves filling the graveyard through self-mill (Perpetual Timepiece, Faithless Looting) or natural trades, then leveraging Hofri's exile-and-copy trigger alongside mass reanimation spells like Storm of Souls to generate an overwhelming board presence. Board wipes that destroy all creatures become one-sided advantages when they replace fallen creatures with 3/2 spirit tokens. The deck wins through combat damage-often a single alpha strike enabled by Akroma's Will or Moonshaker Cavalry-rather than infinite combos. A spirit tribal subtheme (Quintorius, Field Historian, Balefire Liege) adds incremental value, while a dense recursion suite (Sun Titan, Karmic Guide, Serra Paragon) ensures the engine can rebuild after disruption.
