Deck overview

This deck is a mono-white Angel tribal and lifegain midrange strategy commanded by Ob Nixilis, the Ascended. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost static tap-stax pieces like Authority of the Consuls, Blind Obedience, and Thalia, Heretic Cathar alongside early lifegain engines such as Soul Warden, Bishop of Wings, and Righteous Valkyrie. Once the midgame is established, casting Ob Nixilis on Turn 6 creates a devastating asymmetric board wipe by destroying all tapped opposing creatures while generating life and 4/4 flying Angel tokens. The deck rapidly scales its airborne threat via anthems from Righteous Valkyrie and +1/+1 counters from Giada, Font of Hope, eliminating the table through overwhelming aerial combat across two turns. Robust card draw and resilient protection spells ensure consistent midgame execution.
