Deck overview

This is a Grixis wheel-drain and reanimator deck helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. Sauron's ward forces opponents to sacrifice a legendary permanent to target him, his amass trigger grows an Orc Army every time an opponent casts a spell, and a single Army hit triggers the Ring, letting Sauron discard the hand and draw four. The deck turns that card advantage into lethal drain damage through Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Underworld Dreams, Liliana's Caress, Waste Not, and Psychosis Crawler, fueled by Windfall, Reforge the Soul, Molten Psyche, and Jace's Archivist. A secondary reanimation axis uses Buried Alive, Reanimate, Living Death, and Breach the Multiverse to cheat out Archon of Cruelty, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, or Hullbreaker Horror. The cleanest infinite line combines Hullbreaker Horror with Saruman, the White Hand and two mana rocks to amass an arbitrarily large Army, finished by Chandra's Ignition or combat.
