Golgari Land Destruction by Alstax

Format: Commander

Commander: Sarulf, Realm Eater

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Golgari land-destruction attrition deck helmed by Sarulf, Realm Eater, tuned for 1v1 Duel Commander rather than multiplayer pods. The plan is simple and brutal: strip the opponent's mana base with a dense suite of land destruction, recycle those resources through Crucible of Worlds, Ramunap Excavator, Life from the Loam, and Splendid Reclamation, then close with oversized X-spells (Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate), a pumped Finale of Devastation, or a massive Sarulf, Realm Eater that has grown from every permanent that died. The Gitrog Monster and landfall payoffs (Lotus Cobra, Tireless Provisioner, Erinis, Gloom Stalker) convert the LD loop into cards and mana. Sarulf is a strong payoff and board sweeper, not a required engine-the 99 executes the lock-and-drain plan without him.
