Deck overview

This is a Mardu go-wide token swarm deck helmed by Zurgo Stormrender, built around a simple loop: attack with a growing army of tokens, cash them in for cards and table-wide drain, then convert the wide board into a single overwhelming kill. The command zone provides both a token generator (Mobilize 1) and a repeatable draw/drain engine - every attacking token that dies draws a card, and non-attacking token deaths drain each opponent. The 99 leans hard into redundancy: roughly 18 token producers ([Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon]], Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Hero of Bladehold, Caesar, Legion's Emperor, Endless Foot Assault, Secure the Wastes), a deep sacrifice-outlet package, and death-trigger Treasures from Pitiless Plunderer and Mahadi, Emporium Master. The deck wins through combat inevitability and incremental damage - Dollmaker's Shop // Porcelain Gallery turning a 10+ creature board into lethal, or Divine Visitation upgrading the swarm into flying Angels - rather than infinite combos. Caesar, Legion's Emperor and Zurgo, Thunder's Decree act as powerful "hidden commanders" that amplify the same plan.
