Deck overview

This deck is a competitive tempo-control list centered on Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. It curves low-cost, evasive enablers into a Turn 2 Commander Ninjutsu activation, establishing immediate card advantage and table-wide life loss. The deck breaks parity on potent hate pieces such as Cursed Totem and Grafdigger's Cage, which shut down opposing creature combos and graveyard lines without restricting Ninjutsu. Topdeck manipulation tools like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Scroll Rack allow the pilot to reveal high-mana-value spells such as Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass, dealing catastrophic burn to all three opponents simultaneously. A dense interaction suite featuring zero-mana counterspells and removal ensures the deck protects its engine while disrupting faster proactive combo attempts.
