Deck overview

Abzan Food/lifegain partnership deck. Sam, Loyal Attendant makes a Food each combat and discounts Food activations; Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit converts life gain into Ring temptation and card draw. The hidden engine is Peregrin Took, which turns every token into an extra Food; together with Experimental Confectioner it forms a zero-mana loop that draws through the library and creates infinite Rats. Normally the deck finishes by finding Mirkwood Bats through that loop and draining all opponents. Backup plans use Sanguine Bond, Plague of Vermin, and a go-wide Halfling/Treefolk beatdown with Pippin's haste overrun. Neither commander is a double-faced card; the pair is the deck's acceleration layer.
