Deck overview

This mono-blue deck combines low-curve tempo aggression with a dedicated alternate-win combo. In the early game, cheap unblockable creatures such as Slither Blade, Mist-Cloaked Herald, and Triton Shorestalker connect with opponents to trigger Fblthp, Impossibly Lost, immediately refilling your hand. The deck compounds this card advantage through coastal piracy effects like Bident of Thassa and Reconnaissance Mission, drawing multiple cards every turn while holding up a dense suite of 1- and 2-mana counterspells and exile removal. The primary win condition centers on finding Mirror of Fate—either through natural draw or via tutors like Transit Mage and Scour for Scrap—and activating it to exile the entire library. Once the library is empty, dealing combat damage with Fblthp on the battlefield triggers his ability to win the game instantly. Backup plans include draining the table with Psychosis Crawler or securing an upkeep win with Triskaidekaphile.
