Format: Commander

Commander: Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER is a sacrifice-value engine: his front face draws cards on entry/attack and drains the table whenever another creature dies, while resolving four death triggers in one turn flips him into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, whose emblem turns every future death into a one-point drain for the table. That arc makes this deck a mono-black aristocrats/combo shell that uses tokens, sacrifice outlets, and graveyard recursion to assemble infinite loops. The primary paths to victory are: Gravecrawler + a sacrifice outlet + a Zombie + a drain payoff; Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Walking Ballista; and repeatable Yawgmoth, Thran Physician loops. The deck also has a large grind fallback in Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and the Meathook-style death triggers. Both faces of the commander matter: the front generates cards and drains while flipping, and the back converts attacks into massive burst draw once the drain loop is established.
