Deck overview

This Grixis discard-matters deck is helmed by the transformative Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The front half triggers a mass discard on entry or attack, then draws cards based on the card types discarded, fueling a value engine. The back half turns every point of opponent life loss into card draw, creating a snowballing advantage. The central strategy is to repeatedly discard and draw via payoffs like Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Monument to Endurance, and Cool but Rude to burn the table, while using Psychosis Crawler and Niv-Mizzet, Parun as additional reach. Underworld Breach enables explosive recursion, and a suite of rituals can accelerate the game plan. The deck wins primarily through incremental damage loops that can be assembled over a few turns, with Brain Freeze as a potential storm finisher.
