Deck overview

Admiral Beckett Brass commands an aggressive Grixis Pirate tribal deck that uses low-cost, evasive creatures to gain board advantage and steal opposing permanents. The deck curves out across turns 1 to 3 with evasive threats like Spectral Sailor, Francisco, Fowl Marauder, and Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator. Casting Admiral Beckett Brass on turn 4 turns successful attacks into permanent theft, creating substantial tempo swings. The deck accelerates into lethal pressure around turn 6 by buffing its attackers with Shared Animosity, Dire Fleet Neckbreaker, or Coercive Recruiter. Card flow engines such as Bident of Thassa and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer maintain resource velocity, while interaction like Hostage Taker and Counterspell neutralizes opposing threats. Although vulnerable to mass sweepers, mass recursion spells like Haunting Voyage and Back in Town provide the resilience needed to close games by turn 8.
