Format: Commander

Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender turns artifacts into lands and earthbends a land into a growing creature every end step. The deck marries that land-animation plan to a Naya landfall engine: Omnath, Rampaging Baloths, and Zendikar's Roil create a token army, while Bumi, Unleashed and The Boulder, Ready to Rumble provide extra combats and more earthbend counters. Toph, the Blind Bandit is a hidden secondary commander, growing with every counter on a land. The deck usually wins by attacking with an enormous land creature and/or a Scapeshift-created horde, backed by trample from Garruk's Uprising or Kyoshi and doubled damage from Gratuitous Violence. It is a midrange value deck with no combos, so it grinds then crashes in.
