Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria and centers on Villain tribal synergy, aggressive connive triggers, and discard-based life drain. The primary game plan develops early mana acceleration into a Turn 4 Doctor Doom deployment. At combat, Doctor Doom grants menace and triggers connive, steadily sculpting the hand, filling the graveyard, and growing threats with +1/+1 counters. Discarding lands triggers Doom's passive ability to drain each opponent for two life, supplemented by enchantments like Faith of the Devoted and Cool but Rude. Mid-game development expands the board through token engines like Madame Hydra and Ultron, Unlimited, while lords like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and The Squadron Sinister provide anthem buffs and evasion. The deck applies consistent pressure starting on Turn 6 and finishes games around Turn 9 through evasive combat damage and burn.
