Bard King of Azorious by linguini

Format: Commander

Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Azorius token-swarm deck is helmed by Bard, King of Dale, whose doubling of both token creation and extra draws turns every token maker and draw trigger into a compounding engine. The primary plan is to develop a critical mass of tokens - via Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Myrel, Shield of Argive, Call the Coppercoats, Increasing Devotion, and Ocelot Pride - while Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel, Caretaker's Talent, and Mister Fantastic keep the hand full, with Bard doubling all of it. The deck finishes with anthem-style pump effects: Moonshaker Cavalry, Akroma's Will, Caretaker's Talent's level 3, and The Arkenstone. A secondary draw-doubling package - Homunculus Horde, Prince Imrahil the Fair, King T'Challa, Bard the Bowman - rewards the same triggers. Protection comes from Ghostway, Dawn's Truce, and the turn-locking Voice of Victory/Myrel. It is a midrange value deck that wins through overwhelming combat inevitability rather than a fast combo.
