Thranduil, the Elvenking by Jurnny

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking helms a Sultai elf deck that combines a wide elf-tribal board with heavy self-mill. The commander turns the graveyard into a toolbox, borrowing activated abilities from every Elf in the bin. The primary plan is to flood the battlefield with elves, use mill to stock the graveyard, and finish through either a massive elf swarm with anthems and trample or a giant lethal creature sacrifice to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Secondary paths use Prime Speaker Vannifar to chain into finishers and the Devoted Druid / Haldir / Tyvar combo for an infinitely large board. The deck wants to reach a critical mass quickly and either beat down or pivot to the graveyard-fueled win.
